Well the race was over and Mini Sensation was getting all the accolades but as we looked down the track we could see the other gallant runners being dismounted and unsaddled. The jockeys were giving their explanations of where it went wrong and why they were not closer, but today of all days no real explanations were needed. The state of the jockeys and horses coming back said enough about today's race.

After the horses were led away from the parade ring the prizes were then handed out. Jonjo O'Neill took the prize for the absent owner J.P.MacManus as well as his own prize for training the winner and Tony Dobbin also took the rostrum to collect his prize.

We have seen a good renewal of this great race 107 year's after Deerstalker won the first Welsh National.
It was a great race with no casualties and 7 real brave finishers; we now look forward the coming season and next year's event.
